For Season Four of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” television series, I had the honor of being the Costume Coordinator for the production. I mostly kept budgets and organized the costume departments logistics and errands. However, because the sheer mass of garments that the show had in its possession, I was constantly surrounded by perfect examples of vintage 1920s clothing, or saw the mastery of the design and construction of newly made pieces that were period correct down to the smallest detail. As some of you know, the last season of “Boardwalk Empire” came to a close a few weeks ago, and as I said before, there were a lot of clothes to get rid of! Along with many of my colleagues, spanning many different television productions across New York City, we flocked to Steiner Studios to get what we could of the historical show (historical both in period AND impact!)
I have released some of the pieces for sale at LDV Vintage. Enjoy!
The last in our Perfect Vintage Tee series: shredded and cut panels in saturated, clean tie dye jobs. Perfect for festivals, rock shows, and anywhere else you might be groovin’. “Dye Young”- an updated take on the tie dye tee.
